Dragon*Con Hotel Video Policies

The video and filming policies for Dragon*Con are dictated by the Hyatt and Marriott hotels. The hotels have legal considerations for protecting their guests not affiliated with Dragon*Con. These rules are fair and moderate, but have been abused in the past. These rules are to be taken very seriously and will be strictly enforced.

Violators will be escorted out of the convention and media privileges will be revoked.

HYATT REGENCY VIDEO POLICY

Hyatt Regency Atlanta has a few policies and procedures regarding filming in the hotel. As long as you follow these guidelines, filming approval is granted.

Our first responsibility is to our guests and employees. Please respect their privacy and do not approach them for interviews.

Please limit all filming and interviewing of Dragon*Con attendees to Dragon*Con meeting rooms and Dragon*Con specific areas.

It is not necessary to contact the Hyatt prior to the convention; however, if you have video questions as they relate to the Hyatt, please feel free to contact Terrie Ward, Director of Public Relations at (404) 460-6402 or via email at tlward@hyatt.com.

Should you need anything during the convention, please contact the Hotel Assistant Manager on duty by dialing zero on a hotel house phone.

MARRIOTT MARQUIS VIDEO POLICY

You are welcome to film here at the Marriott with a few guidelines that we would appreciate your adherence to:

We request that you restrict all filming and interviewing to Dragon*Con convention space only and not public areas such as the lobby, concourse areas and hallways.

Interviews are only to be conducted with convention attendees - please do not approach hotel employees or other guests not associated with Dragon*Con for interviews.

We also request that there be no elaborate filming and interview sets - please limit camera and equipment sets to a minimum.

If you are TV media or will be broadcasting live, we request that you notify us of the date and approximate time that you will be at the hotel for your needs.

Contact Vincient White, Event Operations Manager at (404) 586-6218 or via email at vincient.white@marriott.com. You may also contact Mike McMahon, Director of Marketing via email at michael.mcmahona@marritott.com
